At Telstra, we are diverse and we are inclusive. Gender equality is something Telstra has long been committed to. We know there is more work to do to create opportunities for women to participate in the workforce, including accommodating diverse needs, working preferences and creating new career paths.

To support this ambition we want to meet with experienced, professional women who have taken an extended break (at least 1-2 years) from the workforce and are keen to explore ways to return to work in a role that aligns with their breadth of experience. Our focus is to look at how we can support this ambition through a clear and defined transition program that will accelerate a return to the workforce and to set individuals up for future success in senior roles.

To do this we need your input.

Most important to us is hearing from women across all parts of our country so we can co-create a program that meets everyone’s needs. It is very important to us that the program is built for and informed by women. We will be running a number of focus groups to get feedback on; what specific experiences the return-ship program should offer, length and timing of the program, flexible working considerations and other critical success factors.

We are seeking participation from the following audience groups:

  • Women who are currently on an extended break from work (at least 1-2 years) and
  • Most recently held a mid-management role in a function such as sales, operations, finance, HR, customer experience, project management and strategy

The focus groups will occur on the following dates and times;

  • Melbourne CBD (180 Lonsdale Street) – Monday 28th August from 11.30am-1pm
  • Sydney CBD (400 George Street) – Tuesday 29th August from 11.30am-1pm
  • Virtual: Thursday 31st August from 11.30am-1pm (Conference Call number to be provided 1 week before the session)
