5 of the world’s best event venues

Who doesn’t love events?!? Whether you want to be inspired by the latest and greatest ideas, ignite a passion, or see your life-long idol perform, the thrill of attending an event is hard to match.

But the event is never just about who or what you’re seeing or doing. Great events are made possible by even greater venues, so if you’re looking for something truly special, here are 5 of the world’s best event venues:

Madison Square Garden

As infamous as it is beautiful, Madison Square Garden, located in midtown Manhattan, NY, is the cream of the crop when it comes to events. Nestled in amongst some of New York’s most iconic landmarks, Madison Square regularly hosts some of the world’s most recognisable artists. In fact, in the next month alone, U2, Radiohead and Billy Joel will all perform at Madison Square.

The Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC)

HKCEC is a venue with a view, to say the least! Located in the bustling heart of Hong Kong, on HK’s famous Victoria Harbour, HKCEC is intricately linked by covered walkways, enabling guests to travel easily between the venue’s many hotels, dining areas and exhibition centres.  HKCEC regularly holds events that help bring the region’s wares to the rest of the world, such as toy, fashion and IT goods expos.

The Las Vegas Convention Centre

When you think Las Vegas, you naturally think ‘big’ and the Las Vegas Convention Centre is no exception. In fact, the centre is actually the biggest single-level convention centre in the world, with over 10 million square feet of exhibition and meeting space. And if that wasn’t enough, it will soon undergo an $890 million expansion to make it even bigger!

The centre is also famous for being the last place that The Beatles performed.

O2 Arena

When it comes to events venues, London is spoiled for choice but the O2 Arena certainly stands out as a favourite. As a multi-purpose indoor/outdoor venue, it’s played host to many incredible events, including the 2012 London Olympics.

It was also going to be the location of Michael Jackson’s final concert before he passed away in 2010.

ICC Sydney

The newest amongst the group of iconic events venues, ICC Sydney is certainly making its mark! As one of the largest event venues in the Southern Hemisphere, ICC Sydney cost a cool $1.5 billion to create and boasts many world-class facilities, including a 5,000 sqm open-air event deck and the latest in digital projection technology and signage. Having only opened a year ago, if you haven’t yet seen ICC Sydney for yourself, it’s definitely time you did!
