In addition, we will be looking for: Must hold the Certificate III in Correctional Services and enrol in the Certificate IV in Correctional Services prior to commencement, and must complete the Certificate IV course within the first 12 months of service in the role Demonstrated previous experience of working at a similar role and level in a correctional environment is necessary Must obtain and maintain a First Aid accreditation HLTAID003 Provide First Aid Positive values that align with a belief that people can change and we can influence that Demonstrate resilience in the face of adversity What’s in it for you? About the role Applying evidence-based best practices, the RIT Coordinator ensures there is continuous static and dynamic security controls for the containment and management of inmates at higher risk of suicide and self-harm. Lead the RIT team in supporting the development of RIT Management Plans and Intensive Support Plans, considering the inmate’s level of risk and needs Minimise high-risk inmates' opportunities to be harmed or harm others Manage Correctional Officers, including supervision; quality assurance; ongoing training and mentorship Observe, supervise and assess inmate activities and behaviour in PCC areas, monitoring and responding to unsafe, non-compliant and at-risk behaviour To register your interest for this exciting opportunity, please follow the apply prompts.
