Broadspectrum in partnership with the Australian Defence Force are seeking an experienced Land Management Supervisor to join the Defence Base Services team at Simpson Barracks. Here you will assist the EMOS Manager in leading a highly qualified team of groundspeople, land maintenance operators and subcontractors. To be considered for this position it is preferable that you possess a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar working environment with an understanding of all subordinate duties and a good working knowledge of turf, horticulture, arboriculture and irrigation operations. Furthermore, you will: Commit to following HSE and Quality Assurance procedures, audits, checklists and registers. Provide effective communication between staff, subcontractors, customer and clients. Oversee care and upkeep of equipment. Complete administration tasks arising from the Land Management Activity Schedule. Monitor the performance of the grounds maintenance team and give technical advice. Manage Land Management staff to ensure all facilities are prepared to best horticultural practices, especially with Hydrozone management. Develop an effective work schedule. You will possess the following key experience and skills: Diploma in Horticulture or equivalent experience Medium Rigid Vehicle Licence Chainsaw Level 1 or 2 Elevated Work Platform Agvet Chemical Users Course (or state equivalent) First Aid Level 2 HSE Industry Program Open Motor Vehicle licence Plant identification Project management and performance monitoring Computer software in word processing and spread sheets In return: You will be provided with additional training in a permanent ongoing role where the opportunities are abundant.
