About the role: The Workplace Relations Consultant provides expert advice, solutions, and services to managers and employees on a range of employee and workplace relations matters. The role focuses employee case management and complaints, provision of advice and support on performance enhancement, and leading enterprise bargaining agreements. The Workplace Relations Consultant is a member of the wider Human Resources team, which is responsible for providing strategic leadership and operational implementation of the BHI Group’s organisational capability plans and strategic initiatives. Duties and Accountabilities Provide effective advice and solutions on a wide range of workplace relations matters Manage the planning, negotiation and implementation of enterprise bargaining agreements for BHI Group Manage the process and investigation of employee case management and complaints Build and maintain high quality professional relationships and customer service to internal and external clients Your skills and experience Tertiary qualification/s in employment law workplace relations or human resources At least 5 years’employee/workplace relations experience, preferably in the Tertiary Education Sector Demonstrated high level proficiency in advising on HR/ER/IR policy, best practice and legislation Proven track record in managing formal complaints and conducting investigations Enterprise Agreements: An understanding of the legislative requirements regarding enterprise agreement negotiations Case Management: Demonstrated experience in case management of a range of workplace relations issues Excellent negotiation and Communication Skills Empathy and Cultural Awareness Initiative and Accountability Confidentiality You will need to provide or be willing to obtain a current National Police Records Check, a Working with Children Check, evidence of your entitlement to work in Australia, and certified copies of your qualifications.
