The State Sport Centres Trust is a statutory authority responsible for governing the Melbourne Sports Hub’s four venues; Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre (MSAC), State Netball Hockey Centre (SNHC), Lakeside Stadium (LS) and the MSAC Institute of Training (MIT).

Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre (MSAC) is an international sporting venue, located in Albert Park. Housed within the elite training facility, are state of the art aquatic and multi-sport courts & training facilities, function spaces and the offices of a number of state sports organisations. State Sport Centres Trust also manages Lakeside Stadium and State Netball & Hockey Centre (Parkville). We are passionate about health and wellness and providing exceptional facilities and services, both for professional and amateur athletes from across Victoria and for the broader community.  About the role For this newly created role, we are looking for a unique individual with a strong Payroll background, but who also has experience in supporting an existing Accounts Payable function. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role will run the end to end payroll processing function whilst also assisting the finance team in their daily duties, such as some bank account processing, end of month, bank reconciliations and support for accounts payable/ receivable processing as required. Ideally, the successful candidate will: Demonstrate experience managing an end to end payroll processing function. Have an ability to learn quickly in a fast paced environment and switch between competing priorities. Demonstrate previous experience working with Micropay and Riteq (advantageous, but not essential!). Possess an exceptional set of communication and interpersonal skills! You will be working with a wide variety of internal stakeholders, so your ability to build rapport and engage others will be essential. Have a passion for health and fitness – we want our team to reflect the values of MSAC. What we can offer MSAC can provide strong   flexibility   for this role, depending on the availability and skillset of our successful candidate. This could include providing flexibility to work the role, or a modified version of the role, 3 to 4 days per week on a pro-rata agreement. We can also offer flexibility for start and finish times depending on workload, so we would absolutely love to hear from anyone who believes that they would be the right person, but can’t commit to 5 days per week.   Please note   that it will be a requirement to be available Monday and Tuesday for payroll processing. Aside from the above, we can offer the support of a hardworking and friendly team across Finance and Human Resources, as well as access to our amazing Health and Wellness facilities (including pool and gym access, as well as access to 140 group fitness classes per week), free onsite parking and a beautiful parklands based workplace in Albert Park.
