Part time Role The Sandown Greyhound Racing Club is a very successful, highly regarded industry leader and enjoys an enviable reputation for excellence and innovation.  We are a unique seven day a week entertainment venue with a range of racing and non-racing events. The Role An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced "hands-on" Bookkeeper and Administration Assistant to join our team in a part-time role.  Reporting to the Operations Manager, the role of Bookkeeper and Administration Assistant is to plan, coordinate and administer the financial management, audit preparation and reporting for one of our partner clubs. The role is approx. 8-10 hours p/w and will require the hours to be split over two days. Key responsibilities will include: Overseeing the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Credit Control functions Preparation of management accounts to trial balance stage, suitable for review, inclusive of applicable reconciliations Maintaining the fixed asset register Preparation and processing of weekly payroll, assistance with workforce management Review and implement finance procedures for Accounts Receivable/Payable Bank and cash flow management To be successful, we are looking for someone who: Has a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position Has a good working knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting for businesses Is proficient in accounting software programs, previous experience using MYOB is preferred Has a strong knowledge of payroll, employment taxes and superannuation Has a strong and practical knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Word, Excel and Powerpoint Can perform reconciliations and maintain accounting workpapers   Maintains high attention to detail Exhibits strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse personal styles and senior level management Has excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to present complex issues in a concise and logical format Qualifications required Completed courses in MYOB or similar accounting software programs Completed courses in payroll Tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded   Remuneration  A suitable hourly rate will be negotiated with the successful applicant.  For further information please call Andrew on (03) 9546-9511
