The Role

As the Contract Administrator you will be responsible for providing support to the contract management team in the delivery, performance and overall management of the NSW NBN contracts


Responsibilities will include:


  • Assess, issue and process payment schedules for subcontracts
  • Prepare contract reconciliation for each subcontractor
  • Maintain appropriate records and subcontractor payment registers 
  • Produce and maintain month end cost-to-date and forecast
  • Control and monitor subcontractor variations, payment applications, back charges etc in order to maintain accurate financial status of their accounts
  • Administer the subcontract commercial agreements
  • Assist in the operation of the project cost control system
  • Prepare analysis of key areas of construction spend and monitor costs against budgets
  • Prepare head contract claims and variations as required



Skills & Experience

  • Between 1-3 years project contract administration experience required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to liaise at all levels with suppliers, contractors and the client
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team
  • Background in engineering, quantity surveying desirable. With practical experience in the construction industry required
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
  • Well-developed analytical skills and capability
  • Knowledge of document control systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and tight timelines
  • Demonstrated IT skills including advanced Microsoft Excel and the ability to work with large data sets
