The Role

Due to an increase in workload we are seeking a Training Developer and Qualified Assessor to join our in-house Registered Training Organisation (RTO), Broadspectrum Training Services. This fixed-term contract position will provide specialist assessor support and training development to our Court Security and Custodial Services contract. You will use your contemporary skills to ensure modern training practices and adult learning principles are embedded into our training.

This role will see you working Monday to Friday based in our East Perth office with sporadic travel throughout metro Perth.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with subject matter experts to identify required technical updates.
  • Updating assessment structure and documentation to simplify the process for candidates.
  • Updating training resources to incorporate contemporary and engaging learning practices that meet our target learner’s needs.
  • Overseeing re-design and implementation of our online Moodle LMS courseware.
  • Mentoring and coaching trainers to develop their professional skill set as educators.
  • Assisting with marking and providing expert assessor support within a co-assessment model.
  • Implement continuous improvements and participate in RTOs Quality Management Plan

Key Professional Skills and Experience:

  • A current Cert IV Training and Assessment minimum
  • Higher level educational qualifications highly regarded (Diploma and/or tertiary)
  • Recent and relevant experience related to vocational training and assessment, competency standards and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrable and extensive experience designing and developing training and assessment materials.
  • Knowledge of assessment and evidence requirements to ensure integrity of the assessment process.
  • Experience using an online Learning Management System.
  • Excellent knowledge of Learning and Development principles.
  • Excellent ability to tailor written communication to meet reader LLN requirements.
