Due to growth in our support of the Australian Defence Base services we are seeking a highly skilled & experienced Regional Hospitality & Catering Manager to plan, coordinate and deliver Defence Base hospitality and catering services, in line with contract deliverables and expectations.

This role will also provide support to Managerial staff with overall management through technical knowledge in the Hospitality and Catering (H&C) Services within the South East Zone under the Defence Base Services Contract.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implement appropriate approved procedures, standards and policies, financial management and people management
  • Support, implement and manage Broadspectrum Food Safety Program
  • Build strong working relationships with Zone H&C staff and Management
  • Keep all management staff informed regarding hospitality and catering practices, changes and concerns.
  • Manage the financial stability of the H&C service line in the South East Zone
  • Recognize and drive out improvement plans across the South East Zone.
  • Prepare and deliver H&C reports and statistics as requested by the Zone General Manage

About you

You will be an effective communicator with a wealth of knowledge on current workplace practices relating to Hospitality & Catering With strong planning and organisation skills, as the subject matter expert you will be required to possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in Hospitality Management.
  • HACCP Level 3 certification.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing large commercial catering operations.
  • Sound knowledge of Food Safety Standards, relevant legislation and statutory obligations.
  • Solid understanding of contract management, quality management systems and continuous improvement principles.
  • Knowledge or understanding of Defence Force operations, systems and functions desirable.
