The position

As the Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in professionally supporting delivery of the National Gallery of Australia’s vision. You will have the opportunity to make a real impact, by leading tasks in the team to manage efficient accounting operations with a hands-on approach to solving financial issues. We are looking for a strong, tertiary qualified, accounting professional (CPA/CA) with a high degree of personal drive who can multi-task and be an effective member of our finance team. 

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be part of a team of professionals who pride themselves on their passion for accounting and customer service and the role they play in delivering the NGA’s corporate goals and strategy.

As part of the team, you will have responsibilities for the day-to-day financial management at the NGA and will liaise with internal and external stakeholders. 

This is a full-time role, however a part-time arrangement or job share may be considered for the right applicants (in which case a pro-rata salary will apply).  This position forms part of the Financial Operations Department and works alongside the Financial Planning and Analysis Department, within the Financial and Commercial Operations Portfolio.
