Broadspectrum has enjoyed a long and successful relationship with the NBN Co. which has recently expanded due to the award of a new 4 year contract to deliver the Hybrid Fibre Co-Axial (HFC) network in the Sydney & Melbourne metro areas.

The Role
Reporting to HFC Engineering & Design Supervisor, you will provide effective engineering & MDU design solutions to enable our construction teams to deliver this high profile project on time and on budget. You will deliver a technically sound product which meets the needs of the internal stakeholders and commercial/financial objectives.

Key responsibilities includes (not limited to):

  • Liaise with Engineering & Construction staff to ensure accurate survey and measurement data is integrated into construction plans
  • Execute accurate design documentation in AutoCAD
  • Produce BOQ and BOM for allocated Service Area Modules (SAMs)
  • Liaise with third party asset owners to ensure usage requirements are met
  • Produce detailed construction documentation in line with contractual requirements
  • Coordinate all inputs into construction documentation
  • Ensure all quality control processes are adhered too
  • Provide design status information for reporting purposes

 

What we are looking for
Our ideal candidate, will be degree or diploma qualified and have 2+ years HFC design experience. You will have a strong understanding of construction drawings and be an advanced user of AutoCAD as well as Microsoft Office. Furthermore, you will be motivated individual who strives for continuous improvement and has excellent communication.
