As part of the Netflow Consortium, we will design, construct, rehabilitate and maintain almost 300 kilometres of urban road network and over 100 structures in Melbourne’s west.
The $1.8 billion project is the first of its kind and the largest single investment in arterial roads in Australia to date. The Public Private Partnership runs for more than 20 years. About the role
Broadspectrum is currently seeking a Project Engineer - Structures to join our Amey Broadspectrum team. 
The primary responsibility of this role is to project manage the development and delivery process including environmental approvals, design, utilities management, community consultation and construction delivery. The Project Engineer will be accountable for delivery projects to time, cost and quality requirements in line with the Project Scope and Delivery Requirements.

As the successful candidate in this role, some of your core responsibilities will include;

  • Preparing contracts, evaluation and management of subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality requirements meet or exceed the minimum contractual standards
  • Scoping and delivering projects to achieve client and contractual objectives, including identifying, assessing and managing delivery, cost, community, legislative and environmental risks
  • Ensuring project controls and reporting responsibilities are put in place and maintained
  • Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of forecasts and cost reports and appropriate allocation of resources to achieve the project time and quality objectives at optimal cost
  • Identify, facilitate and maintain open relevant communication with stakeholders
  • Measuring and reporting on progress against project plan
  • Engaging with the Project Development Engineer to ensure project objectives are met and agreed during development and delivery phases. 

Required Qualifications and Experience;

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience a similar role within road infrastructure construction or maintenance
  • Relevant Engineering Qualifications
  • Programming and planning experience with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Effective stakeholder and community liaison skills
  • Strong Subcontractor management experience 
  • Experience of engaging with cross-functional teams 
  • Proven track record of collaborative and team focused approaches to secure results
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Valid Driver’s Car Licence
  • Medium to advanced computer literacy (internet, MS Office applications, database management, document control)
