The Role


We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Procurement Systems Specialist, which can be based out of either Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide. Reporting to the Executive Manager, you will support and develop the technology footprint for our new Ariba platform, driving optimisation of available technologies and continuous improvement opportunities.



Key responsibilities includes (not limited to):


  • Support the development, deployment & ongoing governance of procurement systems solutions across the procure to pay process that include both Upstream & Downstream solutions for Strategic, Tactical and Operational procurement to identify, capture and source all procurement activity for Broadspectrum
  • Resolving escalations from end users regarding application issues and queries, acting as an internal technical reference point;
  • Following agreed procedures, respond to requests for assistance by providing information and system interrogation, to enable users to resolve their problems
  • Working with internal stakeholders (Accounts Payable and IT) to ensure issues are resolved;
  • Negotiating timeframes for solution implementation with users and updating users on progress during problem resolution;
  • Analysing workflow to create process maps and isolate areas of potential improvement
  • Resolving high-level technical queries escalated by offshore support desks according to established procedures.  Liaison with Software and architecture teams to provide sustainable process resolutions through intervention or Change Requests
  • Promote procurement understanding and engagement across the business to support the Group Procurement service delivery model, processes and governance requirements
  • Where relevant, participate in the delivery of selected procurement projects identified as part of the groups  continuous improvement approach to the enhancement of P2P services across Broadspectrum


To be successful in this role you will have strong functional knowledge of SAP ERP, Ariba and ideally Concur and OBT platform. You must have demonstrated strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly in regard to implementing change in diverse organisations. Demonstrated experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level is critical for this role along with high level interpersonal and communication skills and the ability manage and prioritise issue resolution.
