The Role

 

Broadspectrum is currently seeking a Bushland Team Leader to join our team working on our Mornington Shire Contract. In this role, you will be responsible for natural resource/bushland management in bushland areas & reserves, inclusive of noxious weed control and water sensitive urban design maintenance. Through the implementation of these works, the employee will show an understanding of the environmental needs on the Mornington Peninsula and the wider community. Furthermore, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of bushland management works for Shire reserves, national parks, crown land, private landholders and other clients
  • Progress and investigates allocation of Service Requests and report outcomes and findings back to the Senior Team Leader Natural Systems
  • Undertake Job Start Checklist as required
  • Participate in safety inspections and audits Assist in the day-to-day running of works, including the allocation and monitoring of works to subcontractors, and other related duties as required
  • Be able to respond in a timely manner to any client and/or customer emergency situation during all hours as required
  • Possess high-level report writing skills
  • Assist in the provision of quotations for both internal and external bushland works
  • Assist in the planning and reporting of possible future works
  • Administrate and manage individual work and budget accounting to deliver work within budget and time parameters

 

 

Position Requirements

 

  • Proven experience or trade/tertiary qualification in natural resource management or related field
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card/Red Card)
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence (Manual)
  • Level 1 Chainsaw Certificate
  • Level 1 Wildfire Certificate
  • Level 2 Work Place First Aid Certification
  • Farm Chemical Users Certification
  • Four-wheel Drive Certificate
  • Road Traffic Control Certification
  • Experience in bushland management and regeneration techniques
  • Experience/ability in report writing & basic accounting
  • Understanding of natural resource management on the Mornington Peninsula
