Job Description

ICC Sydney is a $1.5 billion development that has transformed the Darling Harbour precinct. The project delivered 35,000sqm of internal exhibition space, one of the largest commercial kitchens in the southern hemisphere, Australia’s largest ballroom, an open-air event deck, and an 8000 seat entertainment theatre.

We are currently looking to recruit a Business Development Coordinator to join our extraordinary team. Reporting to the Business Development Manager for the Exhibitions client market, you will support the team that is identifying new business opportunities and account managing a wide array of regular high profile exhibitions for ICC Sydney.

Please note; this is a 12 month, fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and follow up of exhibition and related event proposals and contracts;
  • Coordinating and hosting of familiarisations;
  • Assist with managing initial enquiries
  • Assist in the setup, management and maintenance of the CRM database;
  • Preparing reports and presentations
  • Recording minutes of meetings as and when required;
  • Assist with the co-ordination of client facing events such as exhibitor briefings, meetings, hospitality
  • Assist with team projects and general administrative support of the day to day running of the department and the wider BD team.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Previous sales/business development support experience 
  • Outstanding organisational, interpersonal and rapport building skills;
  • Good time management skills and ability to manage well under pressure
  • Ability to think laterally with a commercial business approach
  • Understanding of Ungerboeck software management system preferred.
  • Knowledge of advanced Microsoft software
  • Experience in the exhibition / event industry will be highly regarded
