Broadspectrum and Suez, have teamed together as Allwater - an internationally experienced team that combines operating and technical excellence on a global scale within the Water and Wastewater Industry.Together with our Alliance partner SA Water, Allwater is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the water and wastewater networks and associated assets throughout the Adelaide metropolitan area.

Allwater are seeking applications for a Network Field Coordinator to join the Networks team, working closely with the Network Technician Supervisors, Network Supervisors and Regional Managers. This role will be responsible for planning, coordinating and performing Networks activities for day and afternoon shift teams, including SA Water’s accelerated water main relay program. This position will be for a fixed term duration of one year and will be based at the Southern Networks Depot at Happy Valley. 

Reporting to the Network Technician Supervisors, this role is responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Coordination, notification and isolation and charging of mains water supplies for SA Water’s accelerated water main relay program
  • Liaising with SA Water’s water main relay contractors.
  • Attending and representing Allwater at stakeholder meetings for water main relay works from time to time.
  • Supervising, coordinating and directing Allwater construction and maintenance crews and sub-contractors whilst on site to ensure work is completed to standard in a safe manner. 
  • The coordination and charging up of mains water supplies, including liaising with authorities for location mapping of mains and services for reactive activities.
  • Carrying out water main isolations for reactive and planned works, including location of underground utility services.
  • Attending reported works and assessing the priority and requirement for support services and appropriate skill sets to undertake network repairs and maintenance.
  • Ensuring planned and reactive work is carried out with regard to accepted work practices, safety and environmental standards, key and specific performance indicators and timelines. 
  • Providing customer service to stakeholders including the general public, the client and Allwater Management.

To be considered for this role you will demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication, numeracy and computer skills (including Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, Aqualink/Maximo and Asset Management Systems). 
  • An ability to execute work in an efficient, well-coordinated manner with a focus on providing a high level of customer service.
  • Experience in a field based project/planning role with a demonstrated ability to successfully liaise with a range of stakeholders.
  • An understanding of the water Networks within metropolitan Adelaide and requirements for performing works on underground services.
  • A willingness to work with waste water.

Please note you must hold a full drivers licence, and be available to work an on-call roster, including 2nd level responsibilities to be considered for this role. Successful candidates will have a willingness to work overtime on occasions and work across a 7-day on-call roster. The successful candidate will work 7.6 hours per day (overtime will be applicable for additional hours) and receive 5 weeks of annual leave per year.
