A great career opportunity is available for a permanent Mechanical Fitter to join the Aroona Alliance located at Mirrabooka, and surrounding sites.  As part of a field service team you will be required to maintain, repair and enhance reliability of Mechanical Assets within the Water & Wastewater Industry. Provide breakdown and after hours support services. Embrace our core values, demonstrate and lead by example in the implementation of personal and company safety performance targets. Proactively report and identify opportunities to improve our business performance. Actively participate in our continual improvement processes

This role reports to the Maintenance Team Leader and forms a part of the Groundwater Operations and Maintenance team


  • Maintain, repair and enhance reliability of Mechanical Assets within the Water and Wastewater Industry
  • Proficient in the maintenance, installation, commissioning, and repair of Water Industry equipment
  • Ability to maintain/install equipment and machinery to acceptable engineering and legal standards
  • Experience and proficient in testing and commissioning
  • Experience and proficiency in the maintenance, repair of Water Industry equipment
  • Experience and proficiency in Chemical handling in relation to Process Industry
  • Experience with Process Industry Isolation & tagging procedures
  • Experienced with all facets of machining, i.e. milling machines and lathe
  • Experience in fault finding and diagnostic work within a process industry environment
  • Experience and proficiency in a field service environment.
  • Ability to use effective fault finding/diagnosis skills relative to the process industry
  • Advise the Field Coordinator/Supervisor on matters regarding safety and continuous improvement in Service Delivery Business Unit.

To be considered you will be an enthusiastic, safety conscious, team player who will have:

  • Mechanical Fitter trade certificate - essential
  • Minimum 2 years trade experience
  • Experience in a similar maintenance role
  • Experience in a process industry, water and wastewater
  • First Aid
  • Elevated Work Platform
  • Hold a current Dogman certificate
  • Confined space certificate  SCBA  - 2 day Nationally accredited course 
  • Working at Heights.
