The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced self-motivated ER Advisor in ANZ region.


Reporting to the HR Service Centre Manager- Advisory Services you will be responsible for the provision of first level human resources and employee relations advice to the business and human resources team and for assisting in building basic employee relations knowledge and capability amongst the users of the HR Service Centre.


Key responsibilities includes (not limited to):


  • As a first-level point of contact, provide specialist advice on a range of employee relations matters to line and human resources managers.
  • Handling ER queries by email and phone.
  • Provide expert case management for complex employee relations matters such as performance counselling, investigations, managing ill and injured employees, terminations.
  • Provide expert, timely and accurate advice in relation to the interpretation and application of company policies and procedures, employment-related legislation, industrial instruments and escalate matters.
  • Be a point of contact for the payroll team to deal with pay-related queries involving the interpretation and application of industrial instruments and contracts of employment.
  • Provide advice and support on the introduction of major workplace change processes which may include advice on effecting a genuine redundancy.
  • Work closely with Regional Human Resources Managers and Employee Relations Managers to ensure consistency in the delivery of employee relations advice and to ensure matters are managed in line with the human resources and employee relations strategy and business objectives.
  • Be the main point of contact for the Fair Work Commission and other bodies and responsible for notifying relevant team members when matters arise or correspondence is received.


To be successful in this role you will have a Degree in Business, Industrial Relations, Human Resources or related discipline and have an extensive experience in managing employee and industrial relations issues. You must have strong collaborative and consultative skills at a professional level and effectively be able to persuade and influence the stakeholders. Demonstrated understanding of employment legislation and ability to interpret industrial instruments is key to this role. You are a self-starter who works well in a team as well as autonomously and loves to take up new challenges.
