The Role


Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will provide maintenance inspections, assessments and repairs activities to undertake predictive, preventative and corrective maintenance tasks in accordance with their relevant certified competencies as support to the Maintenance Superintendent during the ongoing operations of the Airport Line Maintenance Contract.

Key responsibilities includes (not limited to):


  • Responsible for assisting in the ongoing operation of the maintenance engineering systems, plant and equipment and depot facilities required for the effective performance of the Airport Line Maintenance Contract.
  • Ensuring that they are free of drugs and/or alcohol prior to performing any work on the Airport Line.
  • Maintain their accreditation to perform Rail Safety tasks in certifying the infrastructure safe for the passage of trains through the Airport line.
  • Comply with the adopted Rail Safety Management Plan and Rail Network Rules


Skills & Technical Competencies required for the role


  • Possess relevant qualification/ certification for Rail track certifier
  • Suitable experience in a Rail Maintenance contracting environment.


Other conditions


  1. The role is currently night shift, but the shift may change in the future
  2. Required being on call over the weekends
  3. Work may be required over the weekend possessions, usually only twice a per year
  4. Option for part time or casual is available for the right candidate
  5. Pegasus card up to date with Qualifications (Preferred)
