Job Description

Broadspectrum has a long and successful partnership with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and is now expanding due to the renewal and extension of the Base Services contract to manage ADF facilities under the new contract on a national level.

The Role
Broadspectrum are currently seeking an experienced System Support Officer to support the Defence Base Services (DBS) Contract systems and associated applications. Address user and system issues in a timely manner ensuring contract obligations are met, using processes provided.  As part of the support team, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives which may include deployment of new features and enhancements to systems and applications.

The responsibilities of the role will include but not limited to:

  • Subcontractor support in UI5 Mobility Application with a primary focus on Subcontractor claims.
  • Ensure Subcontractor pricing and service master agreed rates align to Supplier/BRS agreements.
  • Identify and resolve all subcontractor claims which includes, reversal of Goods receipting and invoice postings.
  •  Assist HVS support team members in resolving incoming issues into HVS Support Mailbox.
  • Contribute to GEMS / BRS interface support and issue resolution.
  • Managing interface transmissions and resolving errors in the incoming and outbound message payloads using workflows provided.

  • Undertake activities managed within the GEMS Support Team which may include but are not limited to:
    • Monitoring message dashboard and associated mailbox
    • Liaising with Defence GEMS support counterparts.
    • Triage of interface issues and escalation to technical teams for resolution.
    • Provide feedback and guidance to GEMS/SAP user community
    • Making improvement suggestions to existing processes and workflows
    • Reviewing and understanding the impact of communications sent to the wider business 
    • Using workflow documents to resolve message failures 
    • Actively promoting the company’s continuous improvement and innovation programs 
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by the GEMS Support Manager 

Skills & Experience

  • Knowledgeable in subcontractor Service Entry sheet (SES) claiming process.
  • Financial postings and reversal of RCTI invoices.
  • Understanding of SAP Plant/Asset Maintenance functionality desirable.
  • Experience in technical  / systems support role 
  • Ability to interpret system files and liaise with / triage to other technical SME’s for resolution
  • Ability to interpret system coding in xml format
  • Work experience in estate or facilities management desirable
  • Interface module knowledge of the following SAP module integrations:  SD/CS/PM/MM/FI/AIF Error Handling is desirable
  • Results focused with the ability to identify and prioritise problems and issues, generate solutions and work collaboratively to achieve a successful outcome
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with a high degree of motivation, energy, initiative and commitment
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team
