The Positions


We currently have a couple of vacancies for a Gym Attendant / Pool Life Guard at the HMAS Cerberus Base. The purpose of this role is to undertake daily pool lifeguard and gym operational duties as directed by the Site Operations Manager. The 3 positions are as follows:


  • Gym Attendant/Lifeguard, Casual
  • Gym Attendant/Lifeguard, Permanent Part Time
    Fri & Sat 2pm -8pm, Sun 3pm -8pm
  • Gym Attendant/Lifeguard, Permanent Full Time
    Mon - Fri 6am - 2pm


Please note – start and finish times are set and are not negotiable.





  • Monitor the pool, gym and exercise rooms to ensure safety
  • Ensure facilities are safe and clean and maintaining a register of all pool bookings
  • Ensure all pool facilities, toilets, showers and change rooms are clean
  • Candidates must be willing to work weekdays and weekends





  • You must be an Australian Citizen and be able to obtain an ADF Clearance
  • Hold a current and valid Lifeguard certificate
  • Hold a current and valid First Aid level III certificate
  • Have demonstrated Lifeguard experience
  • Possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills


Please note that you will need to be an Australian Citizen and able to maintain a Department of Defence Security Clearance.
