  • North Sydney location , travel to ACT sites required every 6-8 weeks
  • 5 months Fixed term contract until July 2018
  • Be a part of a national long term service contract


The Role

This is an exciting new opportunity to be part of our Estate Services business. This provides the successful candidate the chance to be part of a great Broadspectrum team. We are looking for a HSE Advisor to provide accountability across Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and drive a high performing culture.  You will actively partner with the operational managers and teams creating HSE plans to assist Broadspectrum achieve business and HSE objectives.  You will lead, coach, mentor and support operational staff to develop leaders and build effective teams.


Key responsibilities include (not limited to):

  • Ability to work autonomously in diverse and challenging environments
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders regarding Workplace Health and Safety and environmental risks, public safety and other related matters
  • Build HSE capability of Broadspectrum managers, employees, subcontractors and site visitors
  • Drive safe behaviours through building effective relationships and engagement
  • Facilitate the delivery of contractual, legal, certification and Broadspectrum HSE requirements
  • Conduct site based HSE activities, analyse performance trends and partner with stakeholders to improve HSE outcomes
  • Monitoring environmental risks, e.g. water, waste, energy and land management
  • Deliver strategic projects aimed at continually improving HSE performance


Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years HSE management experience
  • Degree qualified with a minimum of a Diploma/Cert IV in OH&S
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current Workplace Health and Safety commonwealth legislation
  • Experience in environmental management is also highly desirable


The role will require travel to/from sites and the candidate does not necessarily have to work from a central office.
