The Role

Due to the recent award of a number of structural upgrade projects, Broadspectrum are currently looking to engage a qualified & experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee a number of shutdown style projects. This role will see you FIFO from Perth to a BHP work site outside of Newman, assisting with the installation of a number of structural steel upgrades. To be successful in application you must be able to demonstrate experience working in a similar role and have experience in managing projects and teams.  This is a fixed term contract role will commence in April and at this stage will finish in late September with the possibility of being extended.

Requirements

  • Relevant Trade Certificate
  • Cert IV Leadership & Management – Highly Regarded  
  • Working @ Heights & Confined Space Entry
  • BHP WAIO Inductions highly desirable
  • First Aid 
  • Gas test atmospheres
  • Fire Extinguisher training
  • WA Driver’s License
  • Ability to pass full pre-employment medical

Skills & Experience

  • Experience with structural steel installations
  • Ability to understand & execute mechanical plans
  • Plan, organise & schedule workloads
  • Experience managing small & large teams
  • Boilermaker experience
  • Exposure to mechanical rigging 
  • Manage subcontractors
  • Recent experience working on BHP sites – Highly regarded
  • Excellent attitude towards safety
  • Ability to follow policies & procedures
