Broadspectrum is currently looking for an Apprentice to join their team at Amberley RAAF base as a Fitter/Armourer.

About the role:

Working Monday to Friday, the role of an apprentice fitter/armourer is to assist tradespersons in various weapon maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will complete their Certificate III in Engineering – Fitting/Turning, over the course of four years.


  • Assist with maintenance tasks to the required work standards at the appropriate level of training;
  • Operate machines to produce or modify required parts or tools;
  • Assist in fitting and assembling parts;
  • Complete data entry tasks;
  • Assist in the maintenance and repairs of various equipment;
  • Participate in TAFE trade training.


What’s Required:

  • Successful completion of year 12;
  • Current provisional drivers licence and reliable transportation to and from work;
  • Intermediate computer skills;
  • Committed to a 38 hour working week.


The successful candidate will be required to undertake a full medical including drug and alcohol screen, as well as be eligible for an Australian Defence Clearance.
