We are currently looking for a Workers Compensation Case Manager for a 14 month fixed term contract. We do however envisage there is a good chance the position will turn into a permanent role.

We are looking with someone with at least 2 years’ experience, and ideally exposure to Self-Insurance. You will be determining liability, process and managing claims in an effective manner in accordance with the respective State Workers' Compensation Act.

Implementation of formulated Claims & Injury Management & Return to Work strategies and/or processes to achieve targeted claim costs reductions and increase claim closure.

 

Responsibilities Include but not limited to:

  • Determination of claims liability in a timely manner.
  • Manage all aspects of Workers Compensation claims from inception to finalisation.
  • Coordinate client claims reviews at nominated intervals.
  • Liaise with all relevant parties as required in the claims management process.
  • Ensure claim and customer concerns are resolved in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Implement best practice Claims & Injury Management to achieve claim cost reduction and greater return to work outcomes.

 

Technical Capability:

  • Sound knowledge of the relevant State Workers Compensation Act.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • An understanding and commitment to injury management principles and the RTW process. (or the ability to acquire this understanding)
  • Customer service orientation.
  • Basic understanding of injury prevention principles.
  • Understanding and Commitment to HSE / OH&S principles.
