Based in the Illawarra, Broadspectrum’s ‘NSW Industrial’ business group provides a range of contract maintenance and miscellaneous services work for a variety of Clients. Working within the BlueScope Plant Maintenance Contract an opportunity exists for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator to join the BOS Asset Team within Slabmaking.
The Slabmaking Department at Port Kembla is responsible for the conversion of blast furnace iron and steel scrap into molten steel and then casting into slabs. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive mechanical knowledge to effectively coordinate maintenance activities and improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for maximising uptime performance and maintaining and improving plant condition at minimum cost, whilst ensuring zero harm (safety and environment).
This position will foremost be accountable for breakdown, inspection and maintenance project delivery with a key focus on achieving safety, quality, critical equipment uptime and operational efficiency objectives. Key duties include:
