Job Description

Allwater are currently seeking a suitably experienced candidate to fulfil the role of Mechanical Fitter to work in our Water Supply team based at the Hope Valley Water treatment plant. The selected candidate will be required to work on a roster system at Hope Valley, Anstey Hill, Little Para and Barossa water treatment plants and network facilities. 
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

 

 

  • Undertaking programmed and reactive maintenance on a wide variety of water industry assets 
  • Maintaining critical assets including chemical dosing systems, compressors, pump stations, power generation equipment and disinfection processes
  • Diagnosing and resolving crucial process issues

 
To be considered for this role you will :

 

 

  • Demonstrate proven experience in a similar role
  • Hold qualifications in a technical or trade discipline
  • Have a good level of computer literacy
  • Have a previous exposure in a field based maintenance role along with knowledge of water & wastewater plant systems will be highly regarded
  • Be available to work an on-call roster for nominated areas. You may be required to work flexible hours to meet demands where necessary. And also will be required to work and travel to multiple sites and locations where necessary

 

Key requirements:

 

 

  • Qualifications in a technical/trade discipline
  • Current unrestricted Australian driver’s license is required
  • Verification of qualifications/licenses will be undertaken along with pre-employment medicals and background police checks for all shortlisted candidates
  • The right to work in Australia
