Job Description

The Aroona Alliance is a partnership between the Water Corporation, Suez and Broadspectrum working as one team to deliver operations, maintenance and asset management of the Perth metropolitan water and wastewater production and treatment assets.  Aroona’s vision is to drive operational performance and improve the water and wastewater services through its service objectives of Zero Harm, Value for Money, People Capability, Asset Management, Information Management and Water / Wastewater compliance.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to manage environmental issues. Broadly the role includes the provision of environmental expertise related to compliance, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder / contract management

As the Technical Advisor – Environment, your duties will include:

  • Providing support on environmental compliance, research, reporting, monitoring and investigation matters.
  • Assists O&M staff to comply with the Alliance’s EMS including investigation of non-conformances, coordinating improvement actions, participating in the Management Review Process, and reporting on Key Performance Indicators
  • Providing supports compliance with DER licences and Ministerial Statements Supports environmental projects and the delivery of site specific activities, including management plans, water recycling and waste management Supports both internal and external stakeholder communications

  • Degree level qualification in Environmental Science or Management, Applied Science or approved equivalent
  • Relevant experience in environmental and social impacts associated with the Water and Wastewater Industry
  • Experience in contract and stakeholder liaison / management
  • Proven ability to communicate with and influence key stakeholders including regulators
  • Possesses highly developed verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
