Broadspectrum and Suez, have teamed together as Allwater - an internationally experienced team that combines operating and technical excellence on a global scale within the Water and Wastewater Industry.

Together with our Alliance partner SA Water, Allwater is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the water and wastewater networks and associated assets throughout the Adelaide metropolitan area.

Allwater are currently seeking a suitably experienced candidate to fulfil the role of Assistant Accountant to join our Finance & Admin team based at our Head Office in Wakefield St.

Joining an experienced and dedicated team, you will play an important role in supporting the Finance & Administration Manager, Financial Accountant and Management Accountant. Reporting to the Financial Accountant, you will be primarily responsible for ensuring the Alliance operate within its budgetary limits and generate relevant financial and management reports accordingly.


 The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Ensuring timely and accurate reports are generated containing current and accurate data
  • Recording payments, expenses and purchases
  • Assisting with banking and bank reconciliations
  • Entering data into SAP and producing regular reports
  • General Ledger reconciliations

 To be considered for this role you will demonstrate:

  • Ability to critically review, evaluate, standardise and document all processes / procedures to identify possible areas of improvement
  • Excellent interpersonal skills which will enable you to foster positive working relationships with a number of stakeholders
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • A methodical approach and high attention to detail

Key requirements:

  • Qualification or working towards qualification in accounting or related field
  • Experience with MS Excel and/or working with large data sets
  • Experience in accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Work flexible hours to meet demands where necessary
  • Current unrestricted Australian driver’s license is required
  • Verification of qualifications/licenses will be undertaken along with pre-employment medicals and background police checks for all shortlisted candidates.
