Here’s where you come in…

To support the growth of AustralianSuper we are seeking an Operational Risk Officer who will be responsible for helping the Fund foster a mature risk management environment where people are enabled to operate effectively, within defined boundaries and in the best interests of members.

Reporting to the Operational Risk Manager, you will partner with our member-facing teams, creating and reviewing process maps together with risk control documentation; identifying process risk improvement opportunities where they exist. You will provide internal reporting, participate in the ongoing review of the risk management framework, and assist in the build and implementation of a risk based assurance program.

Other duties include:

  • monitoring the Operational Risk and Control Self-Assessment attestation processes;
  • assisting the business in updating and reviewing operational risk registers, risk incidents, key risk indicators and relevant external data; and
  • supporting project risk management activities

You’ll need…

You have a solid understanding of business and project methodologies, as well as experience in process mapping, technical writing, and operating procedure development. You work cohesively with business units, and have considerable experience identifying, documenting and mitigating operational risks.

You are outcome focused, have strong attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines and expectations. You have intermediate-advanced Microsoft Office knowledge (including MS Visio, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint), while previous exposure to the superannuation or financial services industry would be highly regarded.
