Here’s where you come in…

As in-house legal counsel, the Senior Analyst, Investments Legal will identify and mitigate the legal risks associated with AustralianSuper’s investment activities. There will be a particular focus on the Fund’s direct investments, with you being responsible for running transactions across infrastructure, debt, property and private equity - both domestically and internationally.

You will manage the legal and related due diligence required in respect of the assets in which AustralianSuper is planning to invest, and you will take an active role with the development and implementation of appropriate control processes, precedents and checklists for the ongoing review of investments in listed and unlisted assets.

You will also manage, advise and negotiate legal documentation and commercial terms across the breadth of AustralianSuper’s Investments department’s activity including manager appointments, term sheets, confidentiality arrangements and derivatives.

You’ll need…

The successful candidate will be at the Senior Associate level at a large law firm, or equivalent in an in-house legal function within an institutional investing organisation. You will have an understanding of corporate/M&A/banking or other transactional law, and experience working on large-scale corporate/commercial transactions.

You have an ability to connect and engage with your stakeholders, and be able to work together with your team and other departments collaboratively and effectively. You are self-motivated and ready to join a fantastic team to create excellent outcomes for AustralianSuper.
