Broadspectrum have a long and successful partnership with the Australian Defence Force and due to holding a Base Services contract to manage ADF facilities in the Northern Territory, Broadspectrum are currently recruiting for an experienced Infrastructure Services/Operations Manager, to work within the Estate Upkeep division, at Robertson Barracks. Reporting to the Contract Manager on base, responsible for driving the overall operational management of estate upkeep on the base.  This position will optimise the maintenance delivery and monitor specific contract KPI’s whilst ensuring the Defence client's capability standards are upheld to a high level.
Further you will:


  • Overview the maintenance plan to ensure that it complements and will not restrict or hinder operational activities occurring on site
  • Provide technical support and advice to Trade Supervisors responsible for delivery areas
  • Play a key role in monitoring and maintaining contract KPIs such as response time, costs and backlog  in optimising maintenance delivery
  • Undertake the preparation and control of maintenance, overhauls, modification &  refurbishment of fixed plant
  • Identify and report non-conforming work
  • Propose to suggest changes which could, reduce costs, Increase productivity, Improve quality, safety or environmental aspects


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills & experience:


  • Substantial Operational Management experience, especially in large and diverse organisations.
  • Experience managing large projects and teams.
  • Ability to manage P&L accountability.
  • Exceptional presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Computerised maintenance planning experience.
  • Ability to think strategically, deliver a high level of customer service and are KPI driven.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Management, Diploma level at a minimum, will be highly regarded.
