Job Description

Broadspectrum have a longstanding  relationship with the Mornington Peninsula Shire and as such are seeking an additional member to the Fire Management team. This role will assist and provide support to the Team Leader Fire Management as well as the Second In-Charge Fire Management in carrying out fire management works in bushland areas, reserves and open spaces,  as well as being capable to assist with the greater Parks and Roadsides team, when the need arises.

Skills and experience required:

  • Construction Induction Card (White Card/Red Card);
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence (Manual);
  • Level 2 Work Place First Aid Certification;
  • Level 1 Chainsaw Certificate;
  • Level 1 Wildfire Certificate;
  • Road Traffic Control Certification;
  • Experience (or trade/tertiary qualification) in natural resource/horticulture management or related field;
  • Aptitude for fire management and the environmental industry;
  • Experience in bushland regeneration techniques;

Skills and experience desirable:

  • Experience in holistic bushland management and environmental management;
  • Forklift Licence;
  • Front End Loader Licence
  • Level 2 Chainsaw Certifications (Fallers);
  • Four-wheel Drive Certificate;
  • Medium Rigid/Heavy Rigid Truck License;
  • Tractor Operation / Familiarisation;
  • Understanding of natural resource management on the Mornington Peninsula.
  • Farm Chemical Users Certification;
