We have a long and successful partnership with the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and the partnership continues to grow.  Broadspectrum has been successful in securing the National Clothing Store Services Contract (NCSS) for the ADF over the next 5 years with potential for extensions beyond that tenure, so it would be a great time to join the team. Clothing Stores are primary logistic functions characterised by the process of Sales and Issue of Clothing and Personal Equipment (C&PE); Medal Mounting; Tailoring and Operational Kitting skills. Internal movement of Freight is also involved. These services are provided to Defence individuals and Defence elements.

The Role

Broadspectrum are currently looking to engage a Regional and Store Manager for NCSS contract to manage the sites of Melbourne, Puckapunyal, Watsonia, Cerberus, East Sale, Laverton, Bandiana, Wagga and Kapooka while also operating the Melbourne store. The Regional and Store Manager ensures that all elements of the NCSS contract within the region are carried out in accordance with the contract requirements and appropriate Defence and Broadspectrum Services Policy.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Ensure all “On Base Services” for Stores performance KPI’s are achieved
  • Responsible for managing, leading, directing and co-ordinating the operational aspects of the nominated region
  • Responsible for regional monitoring, verification and reporting of operation performance standards
  • Ensures operational adherence to Defence policy and procedures
  • Financial and commercial performance of the Region and sites

Qualifications, Skills and experience 

  • Tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in the areas of management and/or logistics
  • Minimum three years’ experience in a logistics environment
  • Experience within Defence sector (highly regarded)
  • Financial and commercial acumen
  • Demonstrated experience with a business / financial management systems, and the ability to successfully manage a budget.
  • Demonstrated experience in management of Stores /or relevant operations across a diverse client and/or geographical base
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasking and time, and to deliver a value for money seamless service.
  • Experience in performance management and reporting. 
  • Demonstrated management and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborative and consultative processes at a professional level.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Demonstrated written communication and IT skills.
  • An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
