About the role
We are currently inviting applications for a Network Officer - Structures to join our team on an upcoming roads contract. 
The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the safety of the road user – through Level 1 and Level 2 Structures Inspections, being the eyes and ears of ABS JV on the network

 

As the successful candidate in this role, some of your core responsibilities will include;

  • Assist in monitoring contractors and subcontractors to ensure compliance with specifications and contractual requirements.  
  • Assist in developing and maintaining Structures Programs of work 
  • Develop knowledge of WRU design procedures, codes and specifications together with effective Quality Assurance. 
  • Work closely with Surveillance Officers to develop joint understanding of network service level 
  • Ensure third party works are carried out to standard 


Your experience should include but not limited to;

  • VicRoads Level 1 Structures Inspection accreditation 
  • VicRoads Level 2 Structures Inspection accreditation 
  • Working at Height ticket
  • Confined Spaces ticket
  • Asbestos awareness training
  • First Aid Training
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in road structure bridge construction, engineering or other related field
  • Valid Driver’s Licence Class 1
  • Medium to advanced computer literacy (internet, MS Office applications, database management, document control)
