About the role
We are currently inviting applications for an Asset Engineer to join our team on an upcoming roads contract. 
The primary purpose of this role is to increase knowledge of the asset. This will ensure the safety of the road user and support the effective and efficient management of resources, and achieve the targets and goals set by the program.

As the successful candidate in this role, some of your core responsibilities will include;

  • Manage the development and maintenance of the asset management system including the asset register, asset inspection system and lifecycle model.  
  • Ensure the safety of the road user through the development of network inspection programs for roads and structures covering asset defect and condition rating. 
  • Assist in the management of responses to network activities and emergencies 
  • Assist in developing and maintaining network programs of work 
  • Proactively monitor the performance of completed works and known 'hot spots' 
  • Drive a culture of delivering great customer service 

Your experience should include but not limited to;

  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card) 
  • Degree (or equivalent experience) in relevant field such as Civil Engineering or Transport Engineering 
  • Understanding and competency in Asset Management Systems and GIS 
  • Skills and experience in network inspection processes 
  • Knowledge of clients design procedures, codes and specifications together with effective Quality Assurance. 
  • Proven ability and experience in managing teams and delivering programs of work 
  • Knowledge and experience of performance measurement 
  • Open Drivers Licence
