About the role
We are currently inviting applications for Graduate Engineers to join our team on an upcoming roads contract. You will be given a chance to work across the Structures, Pavement/Road, Asset and Maintenance teams.
The Graduate Engineer will assist with the development and delivery of projects and programs to time, cost and quality requirements


As the successful candidate in this role, some of your core responsibilities will include;

  • Prepare contracts for review and evaluation, monitor subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality requirements meet or exceed the minimum WRU (Western Roads Upgrade) standards
  • Scope and Deliver projects and programs to achieve client and contract objectives, including identifying, assessing and managing delivery, cost, community, legislative and environmental risks
  • Ensuring project controls and reporting responsibilities are put in place and maintained
  • Ensuring accuracy and timeliness of forecasts and cost reports and appropriate allocation of resources to achieve the project time and quality objectives at optimal cost
  • Identify, facilitate and maintain open relevant communication with stakeholders
  • Reporting daily site events within minimum WRU standards or as directed
  • Measuring and reporting on progress against project plan


Your experience should include but not limited to;

  • Relevant Engineering Qualifications - Civil, Structural, Commercial, Law etc
  • Programming and Planning skills
  • Strong Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience engaging with cross-functional teams
  • Valid Driver’s Licence Class 1
  • General Construction Induction Card (White Card)
  • Medium to advanced computer literacy (internet, MS Office applications, database management, document control)
