Here’s where you come in…

To support the growth of AustralianSuper we are seeking an Associate Portfolio Manager who will be responsible for undertaking research and providing recommendations to support the management of the fund’s currency exposures. Reporting to the Senior Portfolio Manager this role includes the research and in-depth analysis of macroeconomic and fundamental factors with a focus on G10 currencies.

In this role you will enhance and build fundamentally based active currency investment processes. As Currency currently sits within a broader team, you will also contribute ideas into the Fixed Income, Currency and Cash investment management activities and collaborate with other asset classes to enhance the overall research capabilities, insights and investment decisions.

You’ll need…

You will have demonstrated experience in economic analysis and financial markets strategy, with exposure to currency markets as well as experience in statistical or econometric modelling software.

You will be comfortable with undertaking significant research projects as well as making detailed and well-founded investment recommendations in relation to developed market currencies.

You will also be able to apply macro research to currency market implications as well as a strong understanding of economic and investment principles, investment instruments and financial markets.

Experience within currency markets research at a bank or research house will be highly regarded.
