Here’s where you come in…

To support the growth of AustralianSuper we are seeking an Analyst who will support the Senior Analyst (Healthcare) in the monitoring of the global sector (Healthcare, Developed Markets). Working with the Senior Analyst, the role represents an outstanding opportunity for the Analyst to develop industry and company insights, including:

  • Conducting fundamental in-depth analysis of the various healthcare sub-sectors with a view to identifying which of these are more likely to provide a favourable environment for companies to generate strong long term growth;
  • Attending meetings with company management and sell-side sector analysts and forming a critical judgement on the credibility of the information presented;
  • Building and maintaining valuation models (DCF and others) to help rank companies within sub-sectors and to provide insights into a company’s key value drivers and risks; and
  • Assisting the Senior Analyst in the preparation of regular presentations to the broader Global Equity team on various healthcare sub-sectors and individual companies.

Over time, the role would also require the analyst to actively participate in team research and portfolio meetings.

You’ll need…

You will have at least two years’ experience in equity markets or accounting services, with a strong background in fundamental equity or company analysis. You will have a degree in a relevant area. A CFA qualification and/or prior healthcare industry experience would be well regarded but is not essential.

You will have a strong desire to continually learn and improve, and will embrace a challenge. You will have good experience managing multiple workflows and tight deadlines and providing concise verbal feedback on the progress and outcomes of various assignments.
