The Role

Due to continued growth we currently have an exciting career opportunity for an experienced Bid Manager to work as part of our pre-contracts team to develop and drive winning bid submissions. The role will primarily be working on large, strategic opportunities across our Justice and Resources sectors.

Reporting to the General Manager Precontracts and working closely with teams of internal stakeholders, you will be required to play an integral role within the strategic positioning and solution development phase, management and development of large (>$20M to >$1B) bids to our clients, through negotiation and handover to operational teams. The key outcome is the production of winning, high quality, compelling written submissions that effectively and positively highlight our service proposals, matched by competitive, value for money solution pricing.

A critical position that gives you the opportunity to work alongside experienced industry professionals in a dynamic, outcome focused environment, this role requires leadership to ensure effective, efficient and best practice advice that aligns with the Broadspectrum Services Vision, Value and the desire to convert tender opportunities into business wins.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Management and co-ordination of the end to end tenders process, from solution and strategy development, through submission and negotiation and hand over to operational teams.
  • Bid Management – co-ordinate all aspects of bid preparation across the written submission and pricing; management of internal stakeholders and governance and client interface

To be successful in this role it is essential that you possess the following:

  • Proven track record of successfully leading large (+$20M) proposals; a minimum of 5 years directly related experience, with previous experience in justice and / or resources an advantage
  • Highly developed customer orientation
  • Demonstrable skills and experience in creating and formatting complex business documents and use of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent leadership, time management and strong attention to detail
  • Excellent, fluent written and verbal English skills, with ability to clearly articulate strategy, requirements and timeframes to internal and external stakeholders
  • A proactive, collaborative, can do attitude
  • Tertiary qualifications in marketing and/or business highly regarded
