Position Objective:

Reporting to the Executive Manager - Bids (Group Procurement), the Project Procurement Specialist is responsible for validating internal stakeholders’ needs from procurement and support development of ‘winning’ client proposals

 

Person Profile:

In this role it is essential that you have adequate supply chain and/or procurement consulting experience to be able to work autonomously and on complex projects. 

 

You will also:    

  • Be a strategic thinker and have sound research and analytical skills 
  • Show talent in developing and delivering effective multi-mode communications
  • Have a strong interest in building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
  • Be highly motivated, creative and show initiative
  • Have public and/or private industry experience in line w/ Broadspectrum’s existing client base

 

 

Primary Responsibilities and Key Deliverables

 

Leadership & Business Engagement

  • Develop effective relationships and offer valued services to Broadspectrum’s Business Development and Bid Teams
  • Provide advice on procurement strategies and directions and contribute to broader business unit issues
  • Execute required tender deliverables for the Procurement function to the required timeline  
  • Report on program and project progress, including key issues and risks
  • Collaborate with other procurement colleagues to ensure functional alignment

 

Technical

  • Leverage Broadspectrum’s current spend/supplier profile and functional expertise to optimise deliverable outcomes
  • Ensure accuracy and robustness of commercial models and cost estimates for tender submissions
  • Provide advice and feedback in the development of written tender response schedules
  • Conduct sourcing activities in accordance with established governance, policies and procedures
  • Participate in negotiations to establish effective supply arrangements that deliver value for money

 

Special conditions

  • Short-term intrastate, interstate and trans-Tasman travel may be required
