Job Description

Broadspectrum has a long successful relationship with the Australian Defence Force. Our current long term contract is to deliver Estate Maintenance and Operations Services, Hospitality and Catering, Fire and Refuelling, Retail Stores and Petrols, Oils and Lubricants across the nation.

Our Rescue & Fire Fighting (RFF) services currently extend from stations in WA, SA, VIC, NSW and QLD. Due to the evolving nature of this contract, we are currently employing a Fire-Fighter in our urban / Aviation Fire and Rescue operations at RAAF Wagga Wagga.
The successful Fire-Fighter will respond to incidents as required and perform duties as directed by the Station Officer and Leading Fire-Fighter. All positions will require the successful applicants to work rotating shift work which includes 2 days followed by 2 nights followed by 4 days off.

Duration of Shifts are as follows:
Day Shift is 10 hours

Night Shift is 14 hours

Mandatory Requirements:

  • PUA20613 Certificate II in Public Safety (Fire-fighting and Emergency Operations)
  • PUA30613 Certificate III in Public Safety (Fire-fighting and Emergency Operation)

Note: Broadspectrum require specific units from within the Certificate levels including the following Public Safety Aviation Units:

  • PUAFIR305B Respond to Aviation Incidents (General) and
  • PUAFIR205B Respond to Aviation Incidents (Specialist)
  • Driver’s licence (MR)
  • HLTAID003 Provide First Aid
  • HLTAID006 Provide Advanced First Aid
  • HLTAID007 Provide Advanced Resuscitation
  • Proof of Australian Citizenship
