The Role

Due to continued growth, Trace JV are currently looking to engage an experienced and qualified Cost Controller. This 12 month fixed term opportunity will see you based in Darwin on-site within the operations team. The role will see you manage the cost analysis, cost allocation and the majority of finance reporting associated with the long-term maintenance contract we hold with Inpex.            


The responsibilities of this role will be but not limited to:

  • Cost Allocation, analysis and reporting for core maintenance, campaign/exceptions and shutdowns.
  • Cost Allocation (CTR) (man-hours, subcontracting, purchases)
  • PO/Budget Analysis (budget, forecast, actual)
  • Reporting of Variations
  • Allocation, Costing and Reporting of Change Orders
  • Assistance with estimation builds.
  • Revenue Allocation
  • Analysis of payments against revenue
  • TRACE JV Partner revenue allocation
  • JV Partner Overhead and Margin Distribution

Technical Competencies & Skills

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role, with experience in an LNG operation preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of SAP 
  • Advanced Excel and Data Base development
  • Advanced problem solving and decision making skills; able to analyse, synthesise and select the appropriate solution from a range of competing solutions
  • Strong numerical skills
  • Ability to see links between dissimilar pieces of information
  • Ability to logically and methodically break down complex problems and deliver thorough business solutions.
