We provide a range of innovative Talent and HR services including: Consulting, Recruitment, Flexible Staffing and Career Development across Schools, TAFE's, Universities and Industry clients. We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced, practical and energetic Finance Manager, looking for a part time role (approximately 30 hours a week) with flexibility around school hours, to join our Brighton based team, working closely with the Group Directors and senior staff. The Role The finance management role has accountability for all aspects of the finance function, providing the successful candidate with the opportunity to positively impact the Group's performance and decision making. Responsibilities will include: Partnering closely with the Directors, enabling financial insight, better decision making and performance improvement Owning every aspect of the Group's finance function including financial and management accounting responsibilities and above all, the management of accurate and timely financial records Managing all day to day finance requirements, including Administration, Payroll, AP, AR, Tax and Statutory Payments, Management Reporting and liaising with our external accountants Project Costing and Pricing Input This role will offer the successful candidate substantial variety, the ability to be part of a smart and energetic team, the opportunity to work closely with the Group Directors across all business divisions and the professional challenges associated with the end to end financial management of a busy practice. This is a ‘hands on’ role, but with a genuine opportunity of contributing to the team in driving performance. The Candidate Suitable candidates will be capable, “can do” team players, either CA or CPA qualified, with demonstrated strength in management accounting and an interest in managing all aspects of the finance function. We are seeking a talented, intelligent, motivated, efficient and engaging Finance Manager, with operational experience, attention to detail, a level of maturity anchored in the “real world” and the ability to enjoy a positive relationship with their work colleagues. Applicants will require relevant industry and/or accounting firm experience. We are specifically seeking the following skills, attributes & experience: Ability to manage all aspects of the finance function Ability to provide financial management in a, multi entity environment Experience in the preparation of financial reporting, for both financial and commercial management purposes Strong forecasting, cash flow management, tax management and budgeting skills Project costing and/or cost management experience Skills to exploit the latest Accounting software functionality to enable the role to be as efficient and effective as possible Ideally, experience with basic scenario modelling In terms of cultural fit, you will need to be an engaging individual, someone who enjoys their work and has unquestionable honesty and integrity.
