Broadspectrum are seeking an experienced HSE Advisor to oversee our Gippsland Water contract. Located at our offices in Traralgon , this role will provide our team with leadership, advice and support for compliance and operational excellence in health, safety and environmental matters. What we are looking for: The successful candidate will have significant experience in driving operational safety and quality, ideally in a previous water treatment environment (preferred but not essential). Prior experience in creating procedures and then implementing them is required, as is a flexible and practical mindset. Being able to influence and communicate with stakeholders at all levels is essential. The responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to: Promote an organisational culture that empowers all personnel to be involved in HSE matters and to pro-actively take action to reduce risk and to protect people and the environment. Support the HSE Manager or Principle Advisor HSE as required and participate and contribute to their HSE Team. Partner with project/contract staff to deliver HSE excellence in their operations. Liaise with relevant client HSE personnel to ensure, where possible, consistency of site systems and to gain the benefit of any available synergies for HSE improvement. Key Experiences & Skills: Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction or related is advantageous Diploma or Cert IV in OHS or significant exposure to HSE and its effective implementation Environmental Management certification or awareness Cert IV Training and Assessment Construction industry experience Valid Driver’s Licence Class 1 A medium level of computer literacy (internet, MS Office applications, database management, document control) Relevant qualifications and certifications in OHS related activities Negotiation and conflict resolution training Construction industry induction (White card) An ability to work flexibly and adaptively in a complex environment with multiple stakeholders.
