Bondi Sands are seeking a passionate, highly organised and personable Accountant to join our growing team on a part-time basis. Enjoying a variety of operational and strategic facets to your role, you will take ownership of our Accounts function and ensure a seamless, efficient and quality process is upheld at all times. As our resident Accountant, you will come equipped with at least 4 years accounting experience and ideally completed your CA/CPA. Reporting to the CFO and managing an Intern you will have responsibility for: Preparation of Monthly Management Reports Assist intern with Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payables Review Processing and reconciliation of supplier’s invoices and accounts Preparing and posting suppliers payments including international foreign currency payments and sending remittances advice Review credit card reconciliation process Reconciling inventory on a weekly basis Bank account maintenance to ensure compliance with legislation, policies and standards Process General Ledger Journals including – accruals/amortisation/prepayments Review Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations Provide detailed analysis of monthly reconciliations Monthly payroll for Australian, US and US staff members Preparation and lodgment of BAS, IAS, VAT, US Sales and State Tax Assist with the maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register Assist in the development and implementation of financial processes and systems Participate in special finance projects as required This opportunity will suit a driven individual who is naturally inquisitive, analytical and possesses good interpersonal skills. You will be strategic and commercially minded with the ability to take the initiative in your approach to performance review and forward planning. Strong time management and organisation skills are essential, with systems experience in Xero and Excel highly advantageous.
